A Concept of a Plan for a Map of Agali

A worldbuilding case study in 9 sections.

I need a map of Agali, a city I’m writing about. At first, the scope of the story was small enough that I didn’t need to worry about keeping the logistics of the characters going from place to place consistent. But now the game is afoot (it’s a bit of a murder mystery, kind of) and I need to get more particular with a few of the details. A map is the only way to do it.

I need something like a London A-to-Z, but with a lot less detail.

I need a city that feels real, that has a sense of place, without every corner of it needing to be carved in stone. The story has already provided some details, but these alone are not enough for me to build a web of details that feels right. I have to go back to basics, and start at the beginning.
